Censorship on TEMPO

This morning, I phoned TEMPO to speak to the Head of the Board of Trustees of LAU on a live radio program . Yusef Azmun was my translator. My comments and questions, with the exception of one, were not included in the program.

Cronyism and nepotism are common practices here. Education is the last consideration, with students and their needs being second to last.

We have started something this week that can only benefit the university, and I have no doubt that we will be successful.

BULLYING AND INTIMIDATION

For all our colleagues who are on the fence, or who just don’t get it.

IF YOU TOLERATE THIS YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE NEXT.

No one should be scared to go to work.

No one should be scare to join a legal trade union.

What do your family say?

“NO – Don’t join”

“We talked to so many people to get you in there, you can’t join.”

“You IDIOT. You’ll never work again.”

What did your boss do?

Did they bully you or intimidate you?

Not sure?

Did they call you to a meeting and tell you if you join the union you won’t have your contract renewed? This is intimidation.

Did they tell you they won’t provide a reference for you if you join?

This is intimidation.

Did they make you cry?

Did they send you crazy?

Did they shout at you?

This is bullying.

No one has the right to treat you like this.

And you don’t need to put up with it.

Take control of your life and join the union today.

Be proud of yourself.

Be proud of your profession.

Refuse to put up with blackmail and bullying.

If you stay put and put up, things will only with get worse, and YOU could lose your job at any time.
